ALEXANDER K. MARQUEZ

Alexander is responsible for Intel Capital’s strategic investment strategies and related investments in the areas of Digital Media & Entertainment, part of Intel Capital’s Digital Home fund.  Currently, Alexander devotes much of his time to defining strategies in Digital Rights Management, Premium Content Services & Distribution, and next generation advertising models.  Previously, Alexander was  responsible for Intel Capital’s investments and related strategies in Education/E-Learning.  Some of his investments include Zinio – provider of electronic magazines, Envivio – leading provider of H264 systems, and most recently Gametrust – best known for the Gameframe platform for enabling tournament based gaming.

Prior to joining Intel Capital, Alexander was technical advisor to the senior vice president of Intel’s Interactive Media Services division where he advised on strategy.  Previously, Alexander was controller for Intel’s Content Services division where he oversaw financial aspects of the division, including numerous investments in Europe, Japan, Asia, and Latin America.  Alexander joined Intel Corporation in 1994 where he held various management roles prior to joining Intel Capital.  Alexander holds a Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas where he is also Chairman of the Electrical and Computer Engineering Visitors Board and serves as an advisor to the Entertainment Engineering program.  He received his Masters of Business Administration from Purdue University.
